Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Credinberg platform (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Credinberg on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Service Description

Credinberg is a cloud-based digital credential management and verification platform that allows organizations to create, issue, manage, and verify cryptographically signed digital badges and credentials. Core platform capabilities include:

  • Digital badge and verifiable credential creation and issuance
  • Cryptographic badge baking with offline-verifiable embedded metadata
  • Real-time public verification pages and embeddable verification widgets
  • Scannable QR codes for physical and digital verification
  • CSV recipient roster import and automated bulk issuing
  • Recipient Digital Passport for storing, sharing, and exporting credentials
  • Organization team management with role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Credential lifecycle management, including validity tracking and instant revocation

Features available to you depend on your subscription plan. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at our reasonable discretion.

Accounts & Access

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to keep your information up to date.

Organization Vetting & DNS Verification: To safeguard credential authenticity and prevent organization impersonation, issuing organizations cannot issue credentials immediately upon registration. Organizations must submit an organization access application subject to review by Credinberg, and prove authorized ownership of their official web domain via DNS TXT record verification. Credinberg reserves the right to approve, decline, or request verifying documentation for any organization application at its sole discretion.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@credinberg.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Organization administrators may invite team members with specific roles and permissions. The organization is responsible for all actions taken by its invited members.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not:

  • Issue fraudulent, misleading, or unauthorized credentials or certificates
  • Impersonate any person, entity, or organization
  • Use the Service to transmit spam, bulk unsolicited emails, or phishing campaigns
  • Upload or distribute content that infringes third-party intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or compromise the security of the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or plan restrictions
  • Use the platform for any unlawful, defamatory, or harmful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Acceptable Use policy without prior notice.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all credential artwork, branding logos, recipient rosters, criteria narratives, images, and text you upload to the Service (“Your Content”).

You grant Credinberg a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, store, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide, maintain, and support the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload Your Content and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Billing & Subscriptions

Credinberg offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe.

  • Upgrades & Downgrades: Plan upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time through workspace settings. You will retain access until the end of your prepaid billing period.
  • Refunds: Except where required by applicable consumer law, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once billed. If you believe an erroneous charge was made or have questions regarding your billing, contact billing@credinberg.com.

Availability & Uptime

We make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure high platform availability and responsive public verification endpoints. However, we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure at all times.

Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when commercially reasonable. We are not liable for downtime caused by upstream infrastructure providers, internet outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via your account settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or if required to do so by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Previously issued verifiable credentials already exported by earners remain cryptographically verifiable in accordance with open standards.
