The Problem with Legacy Certificates
For decades, educational diplomas, professional certifications, and training certificates were distributed as paper documents or static PDF files. Today, static PDFs can be edited or falsified in minutes, URLs decay or point to dead servers, and employers spend millions every year verifying candidate claims through slow manual channels.
Credinberg replaces static documents with cryptographically signed, open-standard credentials based on Open Badges 3.0 and the W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model. Each credential contains structured metadata detailing the issuer, issuance criteria, recipient identity hash, and cryptographic proof signature.

Open Standards

Authoritative Vetting
Organizations cannot issue credentials anonymously. Issuers must prove administrative domain authority via cryptographic DNS TXT verification before activating issuance capabilities.
Privacy by Design
Recipient identities are protected using salted SHA-256 cryptographic hashes. Credentials never expose personal student email addresses to public scrapers or third-party ad networks.
